ParalympicsGB: One year to go to Tokyo!

August 24th 2020

The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games would have been under way this week but for the impact of Covid-19. To fill the void, Paralympics GB has come up with some novel solutions to start the new countdown.

Millions of us would have been tuning in, or turning up in person, to see Paralympics GB stars perform on the world stage in Tokyo this week. And while we have one more year to wait, Paralympics GB has decided on an alternative celebration to help us through the postponement of what they describe as ‘the greatest show on Earth’, now planned for 24 August to 5 September 2021 in Tokyo.

ParalympicsGB is inviting everyone to ‘Join Our Team’ and receive unique insights into athletes’ journeys to Tokyo 2020, as they seek to ‘inspire and unite the nation and demonstrate the unbreakable resolve of the human spirit once again’.

Over the next few weeks ParalympicsGB will be celebrating the incredible moments that make their movement, with exclusive archive content and features with some of the legends of the Games shown on ParalympicsGB channels and across UK media. There are giveaways and intriguing money-can’t-buy opportunities promised too!

Now momentum is officially building as we mark the one-year-to-go milestone, it’s time to get behind ParalympicsGB – a team that’s impossible to ignore. Here’s how you can help show your support:
