Following the dissolution of Archery NI, expressions of interest are sought from AGB affiliated club members in NI to set up a new regional committee, representative of all archery styles as well as all AGB affiliated clubs across NI.
Working closely with Sport Development Officer Lisa Wheeler, the regional committee will be tasked with promoting the sport of archery, supporting clubs, members, competitions, tournaments, and coaching at all levels.
Do you have skills or knowledge that may be of benefit to the organising committee of the new NI Region? This is YOUR opportunity to make a positive difference for archery throughout Northern Ireland, across all bowstyles and disciplines.
There are a number of roles that require volunteers:
The Executive roles MUST be filled for the new regional committee to progress. All the above roles will be filled following election by the membership of AGB across all affiliated clubs in NI, ensuring democracy and transparency. Full support for each role will be available, as well as for the whole regional committee (executive and non-executive). The hope is to have the regional committee in place before the beginning of the new membership year, 1 October. Please note that no more than TWO members of any club will be appointed to the committee, and no more than TWO related members (cohabiting or otherwise related) can hold positions on the committee.
If you would like to explore any role, or express an interest in filling a position, please email a short introduction including any relevant experience for the role, your club, and bowstyle to both lisa.wheeler@archerygb.org and anthony.barclay@archerygb.org by 31 August.
