Ruth Hall steps down as CEO of Archery GB

Ruth Hall has announced her decision to step down from her role as CEO of Archery GB.

Ruth was appointed in May 2023, and over the last two years has focused on working with the archery community and the staff team to modernise governance across the sport, win the bid to host the European Archery Championships in 2028, finalise the transition into the new Performance Archery Centre at Lilleshall, and supported the team through the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Ruth will step down from her role immediately and said: "I wish to express my gratitude to the staff team and the archery community, especially all the volunteers, it has been a privilege to work alongside you. I've really enjoyed my time with Archery GB, and it is the right time in the cycle to step down to allow the new Chief Executive to lead the team through the next phase and on to LA2028. I leave with a great deal of respect for the sport, regional representatives and everyone who works so hard to grow and develop archery for the future."

Speaking on behalf of the Board, Chair Mark Briegal said: "I'd like to thank Ruth for her hard work and contribution over the past two years. The Board will now begin the process of recruiting Ruth's successor and is working with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure a smooth handover."
