Kai was born and bred in Sussex, but have recently moved to Birmingham. He started shooting 12 years ago, aged 9. When he was younger, he didn’t have good dexterity in his fingers and so the coach at his first club started him off on compound with a wrist release so he was able to shoot, and he has never looked back.

Kai's most proud achievement has been representing our country internationally since 2017. He says to be able to represent the country and wear our flag on his shirt feels amazing! Most recently, he won a silver mixed medal at the Lilleshall European Grand Prix with Ella Gibson, and a bronze medal at the 2023 National Tour Final.

He has just graduated with a BSc in Psychology from the University of Warwick, and he now works as an Assistant Psychologist. His biggest passion outside of archery is watching and playing football. His is a big Liverpool FC fan and trains with his local team most weeks.

Individually, Kai wants to medal at the European Championships this year and improve his world ranking to make it into the top 50. He also wants to help the men's GB compound team get back on the map and prove that they are one of the world's best!
