Team named for 2019 World Youth Championships

The 2019 World Youth Championships will take place in Madrid, Spain from 19-25 August.

The 2019 World Youth Championships will take place in Madrid, Spain from 19-25 August. Archery GB is pleased to announce a full team of 24 athletes who will take to the field with their peers from across the world. Around half the team attended the previous World Youth Championships in Argentina in 2017 with the rest set to enjoy their first time on the global stage of competition.

Athlete Pathway Manager, Cait Leach, said “We congratulate these young athletes on their impressive performances throughout the selection process where they’ve demonstrated their readiness both on and off the shooting line. Together with their coaches, the focus is now on training intelligently to ensure that they arrive in Madrid in optimal form and looking forward to showing the world what GB is made of.”

Paralympic Games coverage to be on free-to-air TV

This morning, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) officially announced that the Paralympic Games are now added to the 'Crown Jewels' list of events that are required by law to be on free-to-air television, giving it parity with the Olympic Games and the likes of the FIFA World Cup.

The final day of Nimes rewarded British archers with precious medals – gold for Layla Annison in the Compound Junior Women category and bronze for Kai Thomas-Prause (pictured together) in the Compound Junior Men.
