Start Archery Week competition winners

As we gear up for the start of our nationwide celebration of archery from 14-22 May, we're pleased to announce a number of Start Archery Week competition winners!

If you've checked our Start Archery Week webpage over the last few weeks, you'll have noticed we've been running 10 competitions to mark 10 years of holding Big Weekend/Start Archery Week events. The good news is, there's still time to enter half of them, and we've some great prizes to give away.

Congratulations to the following winning clubs!

Competition 1:

Archery GB Clubs registering confirmed event details by 10 April were entered into a free prize draw to win a coaching session at your club with Lloyd Brown, Coach Development Manager. Congratulations to Deben Archery Club near Ipswich who won Competition 1 in the free prize draw!

Competition 2:

Email details of a new archery project with a group in your community, started since January 2022. Could involve a partnership with a local club and uniformed organisation, DofE scheme, NHS group, or other targeted community group. Community groups, for example uniformed organisations can also enter if started a new group since January 2022.  Congratulations to Colwyn Bowmen who have won a pack of 50 copies of ‘The Archery for Beginners Guidebook'. Since January 2022, Colwyn Bowmen have provided archery for a group from Hafal: a leading Welsh charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with a mental illness or physical disability, and their carers. The club has also offered archery to an NHS group for ER staff, and a group of students from a local school, which provides facilities regularly used by the club.

Competition 3:

A donation of £200 to the best three reports on how clubs have raised and spent easyfundraising donations - clubs must have also registered Start Archery Week events. Extra weighting towards clubs who have raised and invested donations in creative ways, not on overall amount raised. Deadline extended to 14 May.
