National Recurve Squad Announced for 2018/19

Seven women and nine men have been selected for the 2018/19 National Recurve Squad.

As a result of national and international performances, and having achieved an average score of 650 and above for men and 630 and above for women (taken over three scores), the following athletes have been selected for the 2018-19 National Recurve Squad:

Recurve Women

  • Alyssia Tromans-Ansell
  • Bryony Pitman
  • Eleanor Piper
  • Kate Dunnighan
  • Louisa Piper
  • *Naomi Folkard
  • Sarah Bettles

 Recurve Men

  • Alex Smith
  • Alex Wise
  • Ashe Morgan
  • David Timmins
  • Keith Harding
  • Michael Judd
  • Patrick Huston
  • Tom Barber
  • Tom Hall


David Tillotson, Director of Sport, commented: “Due to the 2019 World Championships and OQT falling in the second week of June and the European Games and OQT at the end of June, this will be a challenging but exciting year.


“Selection will take place at the Bagatir Spring Camp in Turkey 25-31 March, an international setting where a rigourous process will determine those athletes who are internationally competitive and capable of delivering our targets.”



*any athlete achieving a World Championship medal, is in receipt of UKS A level APA funding, the status of which lasts for two years. Consequently, this athlete automatically becomes a member of the National Recurve squad.
