Judges uniform

To order the new Errea shirts order please fill out the form and Archery GB will send an invoice for payment.

For outerwear, please download the order form from the Resources section of this page and send to Individual Design - the email address is on the order form.

Competition forms

Judges are required to ensure that they have a copy of the relevant form before the tournament – the Tournament Organiser will not provide a copy (the TO Booklet has been revamped and does not include the Judges’ Report).

Reporting forms for the Chair of Judges are now available electronically – these can be downloaded, completed and emailed back to tournaments@archerygb.org

Alternatively, they can be printed at home, or you can contact Archery GB if you require us to send you several printed copies.

Although the CoJ is required to complete and return the Judges’ Report, any Judge can send in comments about a tournament where they feel issues need to be raised or actioned.

Comments can be emailed to tournaments@archerygb.org

To maintain a judging qualification a judge must pass a reaccreditation every four years

The re-accreditation system has been put in place to ensure that all Judges are active and perform to a high standard. Reaccreditation is awarded following an open book reaccreditation examination, attendance at appropriate conferences and submission of their work record to show they are up to date and active in judging.

The re-accreditation period will be a period of four years from the date of your last exam.

All qualified judges are required to comply with the following criteria to maintain their status, and a failure to complete any part will result in downgrading.

Judges who fail the exam will be able to re-sit. A pass on the re-sit means you will maintain your status. If you fail the re-sit, don’t submit your exam or don’t attend the conference, you will be immediately downgraded.

You will have a minimum of four weeks to complete the open book exam. The submission date and process will be published on the Judges pages when the test is released.

Dispensations from any of the criteria for re-accreditation can only be granted by the Judge training group, who may choose to consult with the chair of the Judges working group. Any submission asking for dispensation must be made BEFORE the submission date of the exam.

County re-accreditation

You will need to have attended one Regional or National Judges Conference within the reaccreditation period. You will have officiated at an average of at least six days per year and at least two of the judging days at UK RS events. You will also be required to pass the re-accreditation Exam.

Regional Re-Accreditation

You will need to have attended one National Judges Conference within the re-accreditation period, or two Regional Seminars. You will have officiated at an average of at least six days per year. At least one of the judging days will have been at WRS events, at least two of the judging days will be at UK RS events and at least one of the events will have been CoJ.

You will have applied for two National Shoots and you will be required to pass the re-accreditation exam.

National re-accreditation

You will need to have attended one National Judges Conference within the re-accreditation period, or two Regional Seminars. You will have officiated at an average of at least eight days per year, at least four of which will have been at WRS events, at least two of the judging days will be at UK RS events, and at least two of the events will have been CoJ.

You will have applied for four National Shoots and you will be required to pass the re-accreditation Exam.

Note: Judging days are defined as: Days prior to a shoot (for checking a target range or course(s), attending seminars, attending conferences, or attending and running a course/seminar. Organising shoots or being members of working parties do not count towards these totals.
