Archery GB backs Clean Sport Week

It's Clean Sport Week - and Archery GB's athletes are backing our sport's anti-doping programme to the hilt! Double Paralympic gold medallist John Walker and Rio silver medallist Jodie Grinham were among the athletes taking part in an education session.

The campaign - now in its second year - is geared at showcasing the hard work and determination our athletes put into their training and how they earn recognition without the use of banned substances.

Education is vital - and it is not just about elite sportsmen and women. People who take part in sport at all levels, including the grassroots, need to understand the values of clean sport and the health risks of doping and using performance and image enhancing products.

The emphasis is on the use of supplements and image enhancing culture in Britain. New research is also being revealed this week to encourage a wider public debate.

Archery GB already offers training and guidance from grassroots level through to the athlete support pathway but if you want to find out more about the wider issue, check out the following links.
