Policy and Guidance
Archery GB holds The Advanced Standards for Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Sport. Our Safeguarding standards, policies and procedures are scrutinized annually by the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit and we currently, hold a Sport England “Green” RAG rating for Safeguarding.
Archery GB is committed in ensuring that children, young people and adults at risk (vulnerable adults) enjoy archery in a safe environment in which they are protected from any form of poor practice or abuse.
Our Codes of Conduct page has several downloadable resources in both Word and PDF format on codes of conduct for both adult and junior archers, coaches and leaders, and parents and carers.
Club Safeguarding/Deputy Safeguarding Officer Posters:
A great way to support your position as Safeguarding Officer is to display this poster at your Club, Events and Training to get the message out and get people taking action to keep children, young people and adults at risk safe in archery. The aim of the poster is to provide information to all children, young people, adults at risk and members who to contact if they have any concerns regarding their safety or safety of a child/young person or an adult at risk.
It is very important for other people in your club to know that you are the Safeguarding Officer.
Newsletters, website and social media:
If it is not possible to display the posters in your Club, please ensure that you regularly share the information with members through other communication channels.
