Team GB: Olympic Teams

Introduction

Archery GB is proud to run an Elite Olympic and Paralympic World Class Podium programme in archery.

The World Class Podium and Development Programme is a UK wide initiative to support athletes whose focus is to win medals at international archery (recurve) including the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World and European Championships. The programme is financed by the lottery through UK Sport.

Initiated in 1997 to enable the UK's top sportsmen and women to compete against the best athletes in the world, the World Class Performance is UK Sport's flagship arm of the Lottery funding. Across 29 Olympic and 19 Paralymic sports, WCPPs are designed to develop athletes and provide them with all the necessary elements to perform and win at the highest level.
