Organising a course

County Coaching courses are required to be tutored and assessed by a Senior Coach.

If you are interested in setting up a County Coaching course, please contact a Senior Coach to arrange suitable dates for the course and the assessment. It is the responsibility of the Course Organiser to source Senior Coaches to tutor and assess the course.

The course should include 8 days of training plus a weekend assessment. One assessor should be available for every two or three archers.

Once the course has been planned, please complete the Course Registration Form and return to Archery GB, for the course to be approved. The cost of registering a course with Archery GB is £25.

The Course Organiser is responsible for meeting all other costs of the course, for example venue hire, tutoring and assessment expenses.

Unfortunately, there currently is no central funding available from Archery GB to assist with the costs of organising the course. Course Organisers are encouraged to seek funding from local partners and archery associations, to help with the costs for training and assessment.
