The London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) has announced the start of the Young Games Maker (YGM) programme for 16-18 year olds, which will provide up to 2,000 volunteering opportunities for young people during the Games.

It is a year today until the London Olympic Games get underway. Indeed, on July 27 next year, the Olympic archery tournament gets underway at Lords with the individual ranking round. The tournament lasts until August 3.
