The 2017 January Challenge is under way. So only one question remains: are you up for it?
Every Archery GB member is eligible and all it involves is shooting as many Portsmouth rounds as you like throughout January and sending in the best score you can. You can even send in separate scores in each bow style!
There are 24 categories available:
Men or women
Barebow, Compound, Longbow or Recurve
Beginner (started archery after 31 January 2016), experienced , or very experienced (started archery before 1992)
The challenge is open to everyone. Juniors are welcome but will be placed alongside adults. If they inform the organiser, Nick Beeson, of their age, that will be shown on the results.
Of course, if anyone wants to send in just their score, they are more than welcome.
Scores can be sent in at any time up to the closing date of 6 February 2017.
The results will be published as soon as possible after the closing date.
Normally they will be sent via email and will be made available on the Archery GB website. There will almost certainly be a number of revisions and, once everyone has agreed the results are correct, the final results list will be issued and arrangements will be made for the trophies to be engraved and sent out to the winners' clubs.
