Work done to promote the European Archery Championship in Nottingham has won a gold award at the CIPR PRide Awards for the South of England and Channel Islands.
McCann Bristol won the Arts, Culture or Sport Campaign category for its work to promote the Championship and the team was praised by the judges for its "creative approach, underpinned by strong, strategic thinking."
Team members were also able to demonstrate that the campaign had been effective in meeting business goals for Archery GB, including increasing website hits, ticket sales and engaging stakeholders.
Sarah Booth, Archery GB's Marketing Manager, said: "We were thrilled at the results that McCann secured and the team fully deserve this award in recognition of the support that they offered in the build-up and during the European Championships. The coverage that they secured allowed us to deliver awareness not only of the sport, but our sponsors too - which was so vital during this Olympic and Paralympic year.
