There's only a week to go before the achievements of our Olympic and Paralympic heroes are celebrated by homecoming celebrations in Manchester and London. So what's happening when and how can you join the party?
The official homecoming parade is being held in Manchester on 17 October. Special buses will carry our athletes through the city's streets and more than 200,000 people are expected to flood into the city centre.
Special trains and trams are being laid on and over 5,000 free parking spaces are being made available at different sites to keep the streets as free from traffic as possible.
The parade will start outside the Museum of Science and Industry in Castlefield at 4.30pm and will move on to Deansgate at its junction with Liverpool Road.
It will then carry on through Huntsbank, Todd Street, Corporation Street, Exchange Square and Cross Street before a civic reception outside Manchester's magnificent town hall at Albert Square.
