More than 700 archers from 66 colleges and universities will converge on the Telford International Centre on Saturday for the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Indoor Archery Championships.
The UK record status tournament is the first big challenge of the students' season and was such a big draw that entries had to be limited to 17 per institution.
There will be team events plus individual medals in the recurve, compound, longbow and barebow categories for experienced and novice archers.
David Williams, of BUCS Archery, said: "There are many new names and clubs on the BUCS target list this year. It is great to see Higher Education archery going from strength to strength. BUCS is special to a lot of HE archers and this year's is no exception!
