Archery GB has announced this year's athlete funding review for the GB archers. This review takes place every 12 months, along with a mid-season progress check, and is part of a UK system of funding for elite athletes across all Olympic and Paralympic sports.
The level of funding is based on their potential to win medals at Olympic and Paralympic Games and is annually reviewed following the results of competitive performances at key milestone events at International competitions.
This means that some athletes see their funding increased due to strong performances, while others might see a reduction if they have failed to meet their performance target.
As a result of some strong Paralympic performances, our number of funded athletes has remained consistent, while we have reduced the number on our Olympic programme to allow us to be more competitive towards Rio 2016, and better meet the rising world standards. The following athletes have been selected for the World Class Performance Programme:
