Amy Oliver, Michael Judd, Christie Ravenscroft and Matt Arnold
More than 180 archers gathered in Clophill, Bedfordshire, at the weekend with one aim in mind - to make an impression at stages three and four of Archery GB's National Series.
And they succeeded as records tumbled. Over the weekend there were, among others, a new world and European record, a junior UK record, six World Archery target awards and three six gold ends.
It was a good weekend for Olympian Amy Oliver. On a sunny Saturday she beat fellow Olympian Naomi Folkard to recurve gold, with Jeanetta Braun taking bronze.
Christie Ravenscroft took compound honours, beating Nichola Simpson into second place. Pauline Burfitt finished third.
In the men's competition Michael Judd took the recurve title, with Tim Davies second and David Phillips third. And Matt Arnold won the compound competition, beating Neil Bridgewater. Birthday boy John Stubbs took third spot.
Sunshine turned to clouds, showers and humid conditions on Sunday - but Amy was still in fine form, this time beating Nicky Hunt to take the stage four title. Lizzie Cantopher was placed third. Jane Lawrence-Tuck beat Lucy O'Sullivan by a single point to take the compound title and Christie Ravenscroft kept up the pressure, finishing third.
Ashe Morgan beat George Harding 6-2 to take the men's recurve title, with Mark Smith taking bronze. Adam Ravenscroft took the compound honours, with Liam Greenwood in second place and Colin Geenes third.
The top three in the National Series standings after four stages are:
Compound men: Adam Ravenscroft, Chris White, Duncan Busby
Compound women: Lucy O'Sullivan, Christie Ravenscroft, Danielle Brown
Recurve men: George Harding, Michael Judd, Ashe Morgan
Stages five and six will be held at Exmouth, Devon, on 16 and 17 August and the two-day grand finals, sponsored by the Nottingham Building Society and Nottingham City Council, will be held at Wollaton Hall, Nottingham, on 30 and 31 August.
