Danielle Brown is inducted into the Worshipful Company of Fletchers
Double Paralympic champion Danielle Brown has been inducted as Freemen of the Worshipful Company of Fletchers. The award is one of the highest honours given by the Company, which was formed in 1371. It also means that she is a Freeman of the City of London.
The ceremony, watched by family and friends, was carried out at London's Guildhall. Also there was Helen George, Archery GB's Disabilities Committee Chairman.
She said: "I would like to acknowledge the contributions given to all archers from the Worshipful Company of Fletchers and to thank it for its support.
"Many archers with disabilities have received the Company's help over the years to buy archery equipment. And that has contributed towards the success of many of our para archers.
"It has also given Archery GB training schemes and British Wheelchair Archery Association tournaments considerable support."
