Archery GB are pleased to announce the recruitment of nine Regional Performance Academy Coaches to join our Talent Team. The coaches will support archers' development across the Performance Academy Network with the remit of improving the quality and quantity of archers within the World Class Performance Programme.
The coaches will receive enhanced professional development and will work to support alignment of coaching throughout the Talent Pathway. Their recruitment has been made possible by Sport England Talent Investment which has been received for the first time in the history of the sport. This followed a successful pilot programme to conclude in August 2013 at Lilleshall National Sport Centre. At this time, the three Regional Academies will launch and one coach will also act as coordinator at each of the three sites.

'It gives me great pleasure to announce these latest additions to the Performance coaching team- they are a critical piece to the jigsaw as we grow our performance pathway which is often about having the right coaches with the right archers. It is one of many steps along the way, as we regionalise our academies and strive to build a pipeline that worships the idea of constant improvement for the sport of archery'.
