But it was a tough campaign. She beat Nimes gold medallist Naomi Jones 6-4 to reach the quarter finals. It was the end of the road, too, for Paralympic champion Danielle Brown, beaten 6-0 by Vandionant. Andrea secured her semi-final spot with a nine, beating France's Joanna Cheese 6-5 and it took a finely-judged 10 and another 6-5 battle against Inge Van Caspel of the Netherlands to get her into the final.

Naomi Folkard narrowly missed out on the recurve bronze medal, beaten 6-2 by France's Berengere Shuh. The final was an all-Korean affair, Jeon Sung Eun beating Kim Min Jong 7-3 to take gold.
