The Board wishes to thank Gemma for her in-depth study and findings. It especially wishes to thank the archers and staff who participated in the individual interviews and the group sessions.
The findings included the following commendations:
- Facilities and equipment are World Class
- Biomechanical provision is also World Class
- Existing staff are experienced and dedicated, providing a solid foundation for the Rio Cycle
- The right programmes (e.g. the three-tier Talent and Development Programme) are now in place
The following recommendations were made:
- A whole programme focus is created, meaning that Olympic, Paralympic and Talent Development become one sharing knowledge and resources
- The work to develop a strong leadership team is continued
- A focus is placed on team dynamics to maintain and increase the progress made thus far
- Although the right programmes are in place, further work is required for them to become integrated and applied effectively
