Josie has had to contend with all sorts of things over the years,' she said. 'Imagine when your club's sports centre moves your field - but not your containers - and when the local health and safety officers, with just days to go, instead of asking a few sensible questions, have you fill in lots of forms with the threat of not letting the event go ahead!

"So after six years of Josie organising the Eastern Area Champs the Committee didn't hesitate as a President's Medal was one way we could say a big thank you to Josie for all her hard work.
"Josie is a well known face at many Scottish shoots and a very well liked lady who appreciates that there are some jobs that just have to be done and gets on with it and along with her son David and is often early on the field at other local competitions helping out.
"It was a pleasure to see her astonishment and delight when presented with the medal on a wet morning before this year's competition got under way."
