About the course

The courses provides recurve, compound and longbows archers with training from expert coaches in a friendly atmosphere. They are held over weekend's and during the week at the Lilleshall National Sports & Conferencing Centre, Shropshire.

The Lilleshall National Sports & Conferencing Centre is a former home of the Duke of Sutherland. It stands in extensive grounds, three miles from Newport and is close to the M54 and M6 motorways. The centre is at the end of a two mile drive through beautiful park and woodland.

Accommodation and all meals are included in the course prices.

Content

Recurve, compound and longbow disciplines are covered and the course content mixes practical coaching with seminars. The course helps you achieve your full potential as an archer, covering everything from equipment and tuning to training schedules, physiology and psychology.

This is an intensive course focused on archery and whilst it is delivered in a friendly environment it is not suitable for anyone who is looking for an archery holiday! Information Sheet

Course times to run from Friday evening dinner to 3 pm on the Monday.

Application details

To attend the course you need to be:

• A member of Archery GB
• If you are under 18 years of age you need to be accompanied by an adult
• Actively involved within the sport, shooting for a minimum of six months and possess all your own equipment
