Development of a new programme to teach young children

We are currently developing a new modified archery programme following the findings from our review of provision for young people, published at the start of this year.

Once developed we hope to launch this new programme focused on primary school age children in early 2012. Updates on the development of this programme will be shared on the website and in Archery UK.

Review of provision for young people

What do we currently provide for young people in archery? And what can we do to improve this?

Review of Provision for Young PeopleWe are pleased to publish a review we have carried out into the services and support offered to young people within our sport. For us to be able to develop our sport for young people further we need to be clear about what is currently available. This review makes recommendations about how we should improve what we offer based on the opportunities available, therefore providing us with a focus for our development.

The review has been compiled from information gathered from clubs, members and youth organisations delivering archery to young people. We hope it stimulates discussion and would welcome your comments on it.
