Title:  Safeguarding and Protecting Children (Online Classroom) – UK Coaching

Course Description: This online, interactive and tutor lead workshop will help you recognise and respond to concerns a child may be experiencing, or be at risk of experiencing, harm, neglect, or abuse.

You will learn the importance of person-centered care and taking an individualised approach to your coaching practice, that puts the child or young person at the heart of every session.

It is suitable for the safeguarding requirements for a new coach or a renewing coach in England and Wales. Attendees must be 18 years or older.

Your first name, surname and email address will be shared with UK Coaching so that you receive a certificate of attendance.

You will receive three months access to a digital copy of A Guide to Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport & Physical Activity to guide you in your future coaching. Packed full of practical guidance it will help you to deal sensitively and effectively with any issues that arise.

Entry Requirements: This online classroom is suitable for the safeguarding requirements for a new coach or a renewing coach in England and Wales. Attendees must be 18 years or older. If you are aged 16 – 17 and are qualifying as a coach for the first time, then you MUST undertake a UK Coaching Safeguarding & Protecting Children 16 - 18 (Online Classroom)  https://www.ukcoaching.org/courses/workshops/safeguarding-protecting-children-16-18-online-clas 

Archery GB Cancellation Policy: Learners will be notified via email of any cancellations and will be provided with the option of either a full refund or provided with a ‘Transfer Coupon’ to re-register for an alternative Safeguarding and Protecting Children course.

Learner Cancellation Policy:  Cancellations or requests for transfers by Learners within 10 days of a Safeguarding and Protecting Children course commencing will incur the full cost of £32.

Payment of Fees: All registrations and payments are made through Sport80.

Certificates: Certificates are issued by UK Coaching. If you do not receive your certificate please contact UK Coaching directly at:  ukcoachingworkshops@ukcoaching.org. All coaches are to upload a copy of their safeguarding certificate to their Sport80 profile held on Archery GB’s membership portal.
