Home Nation Funding

Each of the Sports Councils of the UK have various funding programmes to support the growth and development of activities. Please read the criteria carefully to ascertain your eligibility for any programme.

Archery gb will support applications and through the development team can provide support, advice and guidance. Please email development@archerygb.org.

England

Sport England’s main funding programmes open to clubs are:

Small Grants – open all year. Apply for £300 – £10,000 for small scale projects aimed at getting more people active.

Community Asset Fund – open all year. Facility development for clubs that have a lease or own their own facility. Grants up to £50,000.

Scotland

Sport Scotland has three main funding programmes.

UKCC subsidy for coaches: Coaches can apply for funding using an online application portal.

Awards For All: National Lottery grants programme for small community groups looking for smaller sums of money.
Sports Facilities Fund: Covers the provision or upgrading of all facilities for the general community. Proposals will be mainly led by local authorities, clubs and trusts.
Sportsmatch: Currently suspended.

Wales

Sport Wales has two main funding streams available.
Community Chest: Grants of up to £1,500 in any 12 months for activities that encourage more people to become more active more often, and raise the standards of existing activities.
Development Grant: Between £1,501 – £25,000 to establish a new team, develop new training facilities or purchase required equipment to take a project to the next level.

Northern Ireland

Sport Northern Ireland provides funding through the following programmes:

Active Awards – Eligible groups can apply for grants from £1,000 – £10,000. The programme aims to prioritise investment in sports clubs, community groups and governing bodies of sport, especially those based in areas of greatest need that will deliver increases in sports participation amongst the identified target groups.

Every Body Active 2020: Outdoor Spaces: Targeted at small scale capital projects that should normally not be greater in cost than £250,000.

Facility Fund: The minimum investment through the Facility Fund will be £17.5m over five years
