The team for the Archery World Cup in Shanghai has been announced and can be found here. Further details of the event itself can be found at the FITA site in the World Cup section.

This is a new feature at the web site aimed at giving greater coverage for events. We intend to extend it to all events next year.

This panel will appear about a week before an event and disappear about a week after. The content will then be archived.

AWC Shanghai Day 1

Tuesday 31st August: official practice

The fourth leg of the 2010 Archery World Cup got underway with Official Practice today at the Yuan Shen stadium in Shanghai.  It was hot and humid all day but the threatened rain arrived at lunch time so nobody got wet.  Nearly 40 countries are represented with close to 300 archers competing for spots in the World Cup Final in Edinburgh in just three weeks time.

Wednesday 1st September

Qualification 70m Round

Qualification Day got underway in bright sunshine, making it very hot as well as humid.  First up were the Recurve Women and Compound Men.  Naomi shot well and remained in a top ten position throughout, qualifying in 9th with 653.  Amy started more slowly but improved her position every end to finish with 631 in 30th place.  Alison was 47th with 619 and Charlotte 62nd with 606.  The team finished in 6th place.
