If we are to grow the sport of archery it is crucial we take the subject of facility development seriously. This month, we are publishing our second Facility Strategy (2015-18), which builds on our inaugural strategy which was published in 2012.
Archery GB is currently seeking to appoint a consultant who can assist the organisation to deliver its new 2015-17 Facilities Strategy. This new role will also support the work of the Development Department.
We have a varied programme, catering for several aspects of coaching, from 'Skill acquisition and reinforcement' to
'Coping with the challenges of Tournaments' to 'Compound selection! Your first bow or what you would advise someone else to buy' as well as other topics, for example Coaching Pathways. Please put the date in your diaries and come along.
Archery GB are pleased to announce that the small grants scheme, for ontarget clubs and disability projects, is back for 2015. The aim of this funding is to support and develop the archery club infrastructure and disability archery.
Archery GB would like to offer all aspiring Olympic archers under the age of 20 the opportunity to engage with our National Talent Development Programme for 2015-2016. Archers who are currently within the 2014-2015 group or who have engaged previously WILL need to sign up again.
