took my family to Lord's - two archers, two non archers - and we all had a fantastic time. Watching the different ways the archers took to get to full draw was fun, especially Viktor Ruban.

It was a shame to watch all the GB archers shooting on the day go out so early but seeing up and coming archers such as Dan Olaru (Moldova) was a boost to encouraging my teenagers.

There was one thing that did disappoint me though. Having gone prepared with binoculars I scanned the area where the team members not shooting were sitting supporting their team mates and it was very noticeable that the men and women of Team GB were not together as one unit. One member was conspicuous by their absence.

When the archers are chosen for Rio 2016 it would be nice to see the team members together.

Despite this the atmosphere was lovely, the weather was great and all the volunteers and Armed Forces were so cheerful it made going back to London a pleasure. Roll on 2016
